NOTE: Backup your sof2mp.cfg configuration file located in your C:\Program Files\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix GOLD\cgsmod\ folder before installing any updates or packages.


Install

Our servers run cgsmod_7_10_2. Please download and install our cgsmod client install package
from our website to get the best game play experience on our servers.

Option 1 (automatic install):
Step 1: Download our Windows Install Package "cgsmod.msi"
Step 2: Run the software "cgsmod.msi"
Step 3: Follow on screen messages, but make sure you select the
Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix GOLD folder

Option 2 (manual install):
Step 1: Download our CGSmod_7_10_2.pk3 (client), cgs_soundpack_v4.pk3 (sounds) and knockback.pk3 (maps)
Step 2: Create a cgsmod folder in your
C:\Program Files\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix GOLD\ folder
Step 3: Copy / move CGSmod_7_10_2.pk3 & cgs_soundpack_v4.pk3 into your
C:\Program Files\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix GOLD\cgsmod\ folder
Step 4: Copy / move knockback.pk3 into your
C:\Program Files\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix GOLD\base\ folder

IMPORTANT: Please do not forget to DELETE all previous CGSmod versions, weapon mods and sound packs
out of your:
C:\Program Files\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix GOLD\cgsmod\

About CGSmod_7_10_2

Here's an overview about the NEW client features and their usage:

UAV:

Enemies on radar after a kill streak of 3 in TDM and DM related gametypes.


Vote:

Voting allowed during intermission.


Score:

Personal score on the HUD in DM related gametypes.


Iron Sight:

Visitors can bind a key to toggle between first person and iron sight.
Go to "Menu -> Options -> Controls -> Look -> Iron SIght" to bind a key. The letter "i" is available by default.
Iron sight status will be drawn "i" on the scoreboard for each individual visitor.
NOTE: In our MOD is a SOF2.inview file that might create a conflict with your custom weapon skins. The SOF2.inview allows you to adjust the iron sight view of each individual weapon. You may have to transfer these parameters to your custom SOF2.inview file.
Use and change the parameters below to adjust your iron sight view:

Game type:

We created a new game type and called it "Gungame".
You will start with only one weapon. Knife in normal Gungame mode and the MSG90A1 in Reversed Gungame mode.
Your score is your level. You will lose 1 point if you die. You will score a point if you kill an enemy.

Flags and radar entities do now change to the colour of your team upon capture.
